Some days I feel like an idiot. Today is definitely one of them. I’ve been sick for a few days, but I tested negative for Covid twice and then my wife tested positive today.
Now for those of you that don’t know about my wife’s health issues, I’ll give you a quick breakdown. She has 3 autoimmune disorders. She’s on meds that tank her immune system and she just took her injection that really tanks her immune system.
So I tested again and I also tested positive for Covid. I was supposed to start my new job tomorrow, because two people are out with Covid.
My 10 year old daughter is very sensitive and stress out too much for a little kid, so we decided to just not tell her for now.
Now that the scene is set, enter stage left my stupidity.
I call my boss instead of texting him and tell him that “I have the worse news, I have Covid.” Now I said this loudly and dramatically because I felt like this was a ridiculous situation. I am coming to work a day early because two people tested positive iam my work, and then I test positive myself.
So my wife’s in the bedroom I walk out into the kitchen and loudly pronounce that I have Covid, only to hear my daughter yell “What!”
Didn’t realize she was in the kitchen. Didn’t even give it a thought. So my wife is like “WTF”. And my daughter Is freaking out and here I am on the phone with my boss, trying to figure this all out.
Anyway I talked to my daughter for awhile and she’s good, I got everything cleared up at work. I feel better, but I still feel bad about the whole situation.
I am just worried about my wife, because of her health problems. I feel bad because I had it first, and I know I did everything I could and I didn’t know it was Covid, but I still feel like shit.
Anyway hope your all healthy and I am going to get back to figuring out this whole situation.
