Frailty

Structure unheard of. Unsubstantial in stance. Flagrantly fluid, Brings on a trance. A trifle misleading, Appearance is meek. The illusion subsiding, No longer weak. The stench of a demon, Brimstone and fear, Sulfur and suffering, Brings on a tear. Do not mistake, Beauty for love. A changeling can wait, Below or above.

Christmas Chaos

So, I haven’t been posting as much as I would like too, but that’s how the holidays go. It’s been chaotic here, but in a good way. Just scrambling around trying to get everything ready for Christmas. This is the first time in years that I am not working Christmas night, so I am pretty … Continue reading Christmas Chaos

Singularity

(Dedicated to my loving wife of almost 10 years) Will it happen, Once again. A moment etched, Forever in my mind. Still nights spent alone. Questioning. The reality of it all. It feels like yesterday — Everyday. 5 years blends with 10, But these thoughts never rot. Freshly sewed pain, From a barren field. Dried … Continue reading Singularity

Heat Rises

Cold night, Hold tight. Pressed together, Feels right. Hands quiver, You shiver. Bodies meet, Come hither. A tangled mess, More or less. Burning calories, And stress. Sensual surprises, Energizes. Friction ignites, Heat Rises.

Toasted

Crazy parties, Hosted. Sailing through, Coasted. Jokes and grief, Roasted. Talking trash, Boasted. Stupid comments, Posted. Friends and family, Ghosted. Burnt out, Toasted.

Late Night Delight

Heartbeats, Silk sheets. Eyes soak in, Your ivory skin. Lust hangs heavy, Breaking like a levee. Hands graze, An erotic haze. Glasses fogged. Mind bogged. Tight grip, Quivering lip... Dreaming in the night, Or realities delight?

Panic at the…

Slinking through the crowd. Voices jumbled, colors loud. Walls are compacting, now closing. Mannequins imposting. Staring and over beating. Fleeing through molasses. Twisting turning, there go my glasses. Stopping, thrown through a loop. Breathing erratic, trying to regroup. Boxed in, can’t breathe. Panic stricken, need to leave. Thoughts racing, Legs bracing. Tear stricken cheeks. Worst … Continue reading Panic at the…

Crossroads

This is a post I didn’t expect to write. I never intentionally set out to write poetry on this blog. Poetry is a past time, but I had never let anyone else read it. Honestly, In the past I hardly ever shared any of my writing. I have been at it almost 17 years and … Continue reading Crossroads

Fertile Ground

Weather worn hands penetrate virgin soil. Life implanted through blood and toil. Years of work On the open field. Bring to them a fruitful yield. But when the land Is passed onto child. Gluttony runs awild. Impetuous and Forsaken. Growing nothing, And only taking. Eventually they starve and die. The land however waits... Offering men … Continue reading Fertile Ground
