Spam Folder

I spent hours trying to figure out why I couldn’t comment on anyone’s posts.

At first I thought that the comments just needed to be approved, or the blogger just deleted my comment.

It wasn’t until I tried to comment on my wife’s posts that I realized I just couldn’t comment on anything, except for replies on my own posts.

You can find my wife’s blog here:

http://Katethealwayslate.wordpress.com

I had just found my spam folder a couple days before that and I had 3 comments in there that were definitely not spam.

If you don’t know how to check your spam folder, this is how you do it:

Go under the site setting and locate the comments folder. You will see all comments that are on your site, and there is a spam folder option.

I would suggest checking this regularly, as you never know what comments might end up there.

I am personally going to start letting anyone that pops up in my spam folder know that they were flagged as spam, because they might not know and it’s hard to figure out.

I have no idea why I got marked as someone who’s comments are all spam, but it’s very inconvenient.

I spent hours commenting on posts and trying to reach out to people that were genuinely asking for help.

Now I am in the middle of the process of getting my account un-flagged, but in the meantime all of my comments are in bloggers spam folders.

If you’ve had this happen to you, or it’s still happening to you, you can click on this link to start the process of getting yourself off the spam list.

Akismet Contact Form:

https://akismet.com/contact/

Enter the words “Marked as Spam”

Then you fill out a form, and they start the process.

Hope this is helpful, make sure to check your spam folders and if you like my posts, please subscribe and comment if you can.

Have a great day.

That’s strange because the emails come from wordpress so if someone gets any wordpress comments in their inbox, they should get them ALL. Hmm

🙂 I also agree that we should visit our spam folder regularly.

Occasionally, I would come across a comment that is not spam (I also let the person know that I found them among my spam).

I do hope that Akismet rectifies your issue in a timely manner.
