Avoiding The Void

Flying high.

Shot down fast.

Trying to get by.

Life was a blast.

Tumbling sideways,

Off a steep edge.

Tough time, shit days.

Gripping a crumbling ledge.

Strength depleted,

The void calls my name.

Completely defeated.

None left to blame.

To fall is the choice,

Between hope and despair.

I still have my voice.

And others who care.

I’ll fight till I drop,

And battle all strife.

I’ll never stop,

For this is my life.
